Event in China today, Xiaomi took the stage to unveil the Mi Mix 2 and Mi Note 3 flagship Android smartphones. In addition, the company also used the event to expand its range of Windows-powered laptops with the launch of the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro. The new Xiaomi laptop flaunts a premium full metal body with a sturdy magnesium alloy frame.
-Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro sports a backlit keyboard for low-light use, which as compared to Apple’s MacBook Pro, has a 19 percent larger keyboard area.
-The notebook has a symmetrical cooling system design with double inbound and outbound airflow for faster cooling while running intensive apps.
-The laptop has also been fitted with custom-built Harman Infinity speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
Specs, the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro flaunts a 15.6-inch display with narrow bezels and a layer of third-gen Corning Gorilla Glass on top. The notebook comes in three processor and RAM configurations – Intel Core i7 + 16GB, Intel Core i7 + 8GB and Intel Core i5 + 8GB. The top-of-the-line variant offers an 8th-gen Intel Core i7 processor with up to a 4.0GHz clock speed.
The Mi Notebook Pro offers a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce MX150 processor tuning 3DMark 11 result P4541. The notebook has a 256GB SSD and an expansion slot as well. It comes with seven ports – a 3-in-1 SD slot, a data USB Type-C port, a full function Type-C port, a full HDMI port, two USB 3.0 ports and a 3.5mm headphone jack. A 60 Wh battery keeps the notebook running, which supports 1C quick charge to deliver a 50 percent charge in 35 minutes.
Mi Notebook Pro with Core i7 and 16GB RAM is being offered for RMB 6,999 (~Rs 68,700), the Core i7 and 8GB RAM model for RMB 6,399 (~Rs Rs 62,800) and the Core i5 and 8GB RAM model for RMB 5,599 (~Rs 54,900). It will go on sale in China soon.
