How to add Cloudflare DNS on your Android device

Step One

Head over to Settings > Wireless & Networks > Wi-Fi on your smartphone. (Menu options may be different on different smartphones. For instance, on Samsung phones, you will find this under Connections).

Step Two

Select the Wi-Fi network that you are connected to, and tap on hold on it. Next, tap on “Modify Network.” (On some phones, the option may be called “Manage Network Settings”)

Step Three

Now, tap on “Show Advanced Options” and tap on “IP settings.” By default, it will be set to DHCP, and you’ll have to change it to Static.

Step Four

Here, you will see DNS 1 and DNS 2 options. Delete whatever is already existing, and put 1.1.1.1 in DNS 1, and 1.0.0.1 in DNS 2. Once this is done, tap on save, and you’re good to go.

How to add Cloudflare DNS on your iPhone or iPad

Step One

Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and tap on your Wi-Fi network.

Step Two

Tap on Configure DNS and change it from Automatic to Manual.

Step Three

Under DNS Servers, tap on the “+” icon and enter 1.1.1.1. Once again tap on the “+” icon and enter 1.0.0.1, and then tap on save button on the top right. That’s it, you’re good to go.
